4/21/09 - Another Busy Season for Marmaris
MSC Poesia completed its program of winter calls to Marmaris Cruise Port (MCP)
on April 13, Easter Monday, and guests were greeted on the pier of the Turkish
port by the MCP team carrying baskets of chocolate Easter eggs. MSC Poesia was
also in Marmaris on Christmas Day, when passengers were pleasantly surprised by
Father Christmas bearing gifts and Christmas cake, making two very special days
that have been celebrated with MSC Poesia in Marmaris Cruise Port recently. A
total of 12,762 passengers and 5,215 crew have visited Marmaris onboard MSC
Poesia during her five port calls this winter.
Marmaris Cruise Port is now expecting another busy summer season, with maiden
calls from AIDA Diva, Golden Iris, Club Med 2, Costa Mediterranea, Adriana III
and MSC Splendida making up just some of the 90+ cruise ships due to call in
2009.
Didim Cruise Port, managed by MCP, will be pleased to also welcome Club Med 2,
as well as Sea Dream 1 and Arion on their maiden calls to Didim, gateway to the
ancient world’s “Land of Oracles,” from where guests can visit famous sites such
as the ruins of the Temple of Apollo at Didyma and the ancient Ionian cities of
Miletus and Priene, not forgetting of course the ancient metropolis of Ephesus
and nearby house of the Virgin Mary which are also within easy reach. |
